Moonjai Education LLC — Delete your account

You can delete your account in-app or request deletion from this page.

Delete inside the app (fastest)

Open Moonjai → Settings → Delete my account → confirm Yes.

  • We delete your account and all data in active systems immediately, except for Global Answers (public solving answers), which are posted under non-unique avatars and are not linked to your account. If there is an email associated with the account we retain it for 14 days for cooldown.

Request on the web

Email info@moonjai.com from the email tied to your Moonjai account with the subject “Delete my Moonjai account.”
If you signed in with Google, send from that same Google email. We’ll verify and complete your request (typically within 30 days).

What gets deleted (and when)

  • Account & authentication data (email, if collected):

    • In-app deletion: removed from active systems immediately.

    • Web request: removed from active systems within 30 days after we confirm your request.

  • Pseudonymous profile: your avatar name/image selection and Region preference (used only to default to regional mock exams) are deleted with your account.

  • Private Solving content:
    We do not store Private Solving photos/documents on our servers. They are processed ephemerally to return results and discarded when you leave the Private Solving feature, so there is nothing to delete from our systems.

Global Answers (public solving answers)

  • Global Answers are shown only with your preset avatar name/image and are not associated with your account, so they do not delete automatically with your account.

  • If you want a specific post removed, email info@moonjai.com with enough detail to locate it (for example: exam name, region, question number, a short excerpt of your post, and the approximate date/time). Because avatars are non-unique and posts aren’t linked to accounts, we may be unable to locate content without these details.

  • If a post contains personal data (especially about a minor), contact us and we will prioritize a privacy takedown.

What may be kept (limited and minimal)

  • Temporary re-signup cooldown (14 days):
    After account deletion, we keep your email address only for 14 days to prevent immediate re-registration and abuse of costly AI features. It is used solely for fraud/abuse prevention and is automatically purged after 14 days. (Where feasible, we store this in hashed form.)

  • Abuse-prevention list (confirmed bad actors):
    Separately, we may keep a list of email addresses only for confirmed abuse cases to protect the service. Entries are kept only as long as necessary, reviewed periodically, and never used for marketing.

  • Backups, logs, and legal holds:
    Retained only for limited periods needed for security, recovery, or legal obligations, then purged.

  • Non-content metadata for rate limiting (e.g., timestamps/counters):
    Kept briefly to maintain service stability and protect against abuse.

Timeline

  • In-app deletion: immediate removal from active systems.

  • Web request: deletion from active systems typically within 30 days after we verify your request.
